Why other remote control switches unable to turn off Energy Saving bulbs?
Overview
Our remote control wall switch runs on single LIVE wire, without the need of NEUTRAL line. It can be replaced directly to the conventional mechanical wall switch, there is no rewiring needed. More importantly is, it is suitable for the energy saving light bulbs.
Differences between plug and switch
Description of Plug

In ordinary electronic devices like TV, radio and etc, they are plugged into wall plug to obtain power supply. On the wall plug, it consists of LIVE, NEUTRAL, and EARTH. With LIVE and NEUTRAL, we can use a simple power supply circuitry and obtain a power supply hence to power up the electronic devices.
Description of Switch

However at common wall switch position, the NEUTRAL line is not routed through. Therefore, the technique to derive power supply from this type of wiring is very difficult. The closest NEUTRAL source at the wall switch position is the output line of the lamp.
Why other remote control switches unable to turn off Energy Saving bulbs?
The energy saving bulbs normally are very sensitive to power, very little power can trigger them to turn on. Refer to the figure above, to derive power, the current needs to need to flow through the bulbs. Without power, the electronic circuit and the receiver can not operate.
However, to obtain enough power to run the electronic circuit and receiver, it might trigger the energy saving bulbs to turn on. This makes the mission almost impossible.
